GKN Fokker Aerospace is moving, these are exciting times to get on board. Due to two transitions in the last months it's a dynamic environment.
From a Benefits and Vitality Managers perspective you will help to retain employees across different business lines. Your contribution will help to keep our employees (around 2500) happy and vital. The business lines we work on in the Netherlands are: Civil and Defense. We fabricate and revise components for the aerospace industry.


For all our employees who proudly work direct or indirect on these components you will manage the benefits to ensure they are competitive, compliant & effectively managed. This comes with cost management and alignment to the business strategy. You will manage the vitality infrastructure to support employees in their return to work due to sickness and providing training, education and effective processes whilst ensuring compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Management of Dutch benefits, including pension at Metalektro, health insurances and health care, car, cycle and transportation schemes and employee related insurances. Responsibilities include the day-to-day administration and operation of the programs/plans as well as interfaces to payroll and external vendors to ensure compliance and management in line with CLA agreement, as required.
  • Manage insurance and benefits providers (including renewals and provider selection) to ensure delivery of a high quality service and delivery of benefits to attract and retain employees.
  • Create & deliver education and training to stakeholders on NL benefits; provide subject matter expertise on benefits and support HR with resolving complex queries.
  • Ensure relevant reporting (including financial) is completed to ensure compliance and effective cost management. Manage budgets & variance to ensure clarity on financial and cost impacts, including premium rates.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including any relevant reporting. Analyse the impact of legislative changes and liaise with relevant stakeholders on actions required. Project manage the implementation of changes to ensure compliance whilst minimising the impact on the business & employees.
  • Data Analysis to monitor trends, identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for change as required.
  • Keep up to date with market practice on Dutch benefits
  • Support VP Reward & HR Operations & local NL HR team with ad hoc projects/activities, as required.

Vitality specific (in addition to activities listed above)

  • Manage contracts and vendor relationships with relevant health/absence insurers to ensure value for money and delivery of a high quality service at the right time by measurable KPI's.
  • Work with stakeholders in the different Business Lines to ensure there are clear goals, effective & transparent processes and KPI's.
  • Work with existing systems as well as upgrade or implement new systems to drive efficiency and standardisation.
  • Manage health and wellbeing programmes and initiatives to support the business in reducing absence and enabling a faster return to work
  • Manage Annual health check arrangements for relevant employees

To be successful you will bring

  • Good knowledge of Dutch labour agreements, benefit laws and taxation systems
  • Strong understanding & experience of insurances covering Dutch sickness absence and related processes
  • Previous experience of benefits and benefit administration in the Netherlands for a large employee population.
  • Strong benefits systems understanding and analytical abilities. Ability to analyze, compile and present benefits data in a comprehensive manner.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with any widely used HRIS system.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide quality internal customer service.
  • Ability to analyze key processes/systems, identify key risks and develop system-driven solutions, in conjunction with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to articulate simply and effectively complex concepts, processes, system requirements and operations.
  • Fluent Dutch & English language skills
