Will you join GKN as an Integration CoE IT Specialist?

As an Integration IT Specialist you will act as a skilled and knowledgeable team member whose role is to continuously design and develop the AeroConnect Platform to provide the Business with seamless IT Integration between shop-floor, business applications, customers and supply chains. The scope of AeroConnect covers both the Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) and Manufacturing Service Bus (MSB) and adheres to ISA95 Standard.
From an ESB perspective the role will focus on the definition and business justification of a Cloud based Integration Platform. Following financial approval proceed with the design, implementation and support of the Cloud solution. In parallel you will maintain the existing BizTalk V2020 instances until displaced by the Cloud Integration Platform.
From an MSB perspective the role will require the design, development and deployment of the AeroConnect Platform to provide connectivity and data analytic solutions for the manufacturing environments. This will focus on the integration of the latest manufacturing technologies both at the production sites and research projects within the Global Technology Centres.
The Integration CoE forms part of the wider IT application teams within the IT organisation. You will be a trusted partner to the business in providing Integration applications and solutions in line with the IT operating model, working alongside the IT Business Partners, Project Management Office, IT Security and IT Operations teams.

Hybrid working / Travel

The Integration IT Specialist will be based at our Papendrecht site in the Netherlands supporting our Civil and Defence business lines in this global functions role, the incumbent will need to be flexible to travel nationally and internationally monthly to attend site visits and complete training and there is flexibility to work from home for up to 2 days per week dependent on the needs of business.

Data Integration

• Develop and implement data integration strategies, ensuring seamless and efficient data flow between various systems and data sources.
• Utilize Azure integration Services, Biztalk & other tools to orchestrate data workflows.

Cloud data architecture

• Design, implement and maintain robust and scalable data architectures across both on premise and cloud.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

Data modelling

• Create and optimize data models for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis.
• Implement and manage data lake, Warehouse and other data storage solutions including SQL & Cloud lake solutions.
