You are the point of contact for technical matters

Within the Iv-Offshore & Energy division, we are looking for a team leader for the Instrumentation discipline. You are the point of contact for our Instrumentation engineers and designers for technical matters. Where necessary, you provide technical support and direction to the Instrumentation project teams during engineering, construction and commissioning. You ensure the correct quality of our Instrumentation engineering/design documents within our projects and support the standardization and development thereof.
During the construction phase of our projects you support the contract management of our Electrical/Instrumentation construction subcontractor. Additionally, you support the department manager with activities such as resource planning, staff evaluation and recruitment of new staff.
In addition to your job as a team leader, you can also be deployed as a Lead Engineer on our projects where you are responsible for the Instrumentation scope within the project. During the execution of the project you will lead your instrumentation team members. In the role of lead engineer, the activities can vary from the first phase of a project, in which you advise the customer by conducting a feasibility study, up to and including complete detailed engineering of EPC contracts.

What do we expect of you?

We are looking for a heavyweight in instrumentation engineering graduated in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, technical physics or chemical technology at higher vocational/university level with at least eight years of instrumentation engineering work experience within an engineering company, preferably in the offshore and / or energy market. You have a broad experience in instrumentation engineering in the field of field instrumentation up to and including automation and telecommunication systems. You also have experience in managing engineering teams and you enjoy motivating people and bringing out the best in everyone. For this you have good communication skills, you can think solution-oriented and you take your responsibility within the group. Decisiveness, integrity, ambition, proactivity, commitment, resistance to stress and reliability are characteristics that describe you.
