Job Description Summary:

As a Software Engineer, You would be joining an agile team, consisting of Software & QA Engineers based in Vilnius and abroad. This team will be working on projects encompassing DBMS and related tools specifically in the NoSQL area.

The Software Engineer designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determines software's compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Mastery of hardware and software systems.

• Proficient at complex programming, exercising independence and discretion while working independently or as part of a team.

• May lead a team on short-term projects on an as-needed basis

• May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

• Write commercial/enterprise-grade software with minimal or no help required.

• Act as the subject matter expert within the current product domain

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 - 5+ years of related experience

• Experience with C, C++, or Java

• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other SDLC tools

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to deal professionally and collaboratively with all levels of the organization and across geographies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Python knowledge

• Experience with Cloud or other Virtualized environments

• Working with NoSQL style RDBMS and JSON

• Working experience in an Agile environment (JIRA/Confluence experience is a plus)
